WHAT IS THIS INTERNSHIP?
Shoshin Tribe Travel Internship : S01 is an opportunity for any travel enthusiasts or travel professionals to gain hands-on experience in designing and marketing travel products that have the potential to influence the world positively.
You will be working closely with Shoshin Tribe as well as DERC, an eco tourism research centre operating from one of the remote villages of Uttarakhand. Your on-the-field work will be connected with environment conservation, eco and rural tourism, local job creations, creation and marketing of travel products and much more.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We have 2 Internship positions available for this project for passionate and skilled members of Shoshin Tribe.
Positions:
2 Visual Story Tellers
Requirements:
Prior experience with creating and editing videos is preffered
Ability to create compelling visual stories
Experience in vlogging is an advantage
Can write great content
Have a passion for travel
Should have a flair for planning trips
Should have necessary gears to shoot and edit a decent video
Video Gears can be go-pro, professional camera, drone but not limited to the list
Good enough laptop to edit the video and submit the result by the end of the internship
Must follow all COVID-19 regulations of home state and Uttarakhand at the time of travel

*Apart from the stipend, we will help with your transportation (train) FROM DELHI TO DEHRADUN if you are coming from a far place.
However, we will not be responsible for any further transportation prior to and after the internship.*
*Majority of food and accommodation will be covered by Shoshin Tribe, however Interns should keep in mind that this is not a vacation and should expect a few 'Shoshin Twists' and learning experiences*
JOB DESCRIPTION
Get ready for an immersive authentic travel experience by sharing your skills for the improvement of a eco tourism project in a remote village of Uttarakhand
During your 9 days of internship with us, we can assure you with high level of probability that no two days will be the same. You will find yourself roaming around in a popular hills station one day but on the next day you might be learning about birds and butterflies! You might walk and explore the daily life of the villagers on the third day but on the fourth day you might be doing a whole day trek to a mountain peak. We assure you that each and every day you will spend on this internship will be quite exciting.
On that same note, we want to emphasise and remind you that please do not expect Shoshin Tribe internship to be a pleasure trip or a vacation. There will be tasks that will make you go out of your comfort zone but will earn you a lesson in travelling. There will be days where you have to think on your feet and find your own solutions to a travel problem. It can be as easy as finding transportation between point A to B or as hard as finding a forgotten trekking trail inside a forest.
We will guide you on certain finer details but you will be required to make your own judgements and take the whole show forward. You will also be required to finish tasks given to you within the given time frame.
MAJOR TASKS
Help the eco tourism/conservation project with content strategy
Help the village organisation to create and meet social media goals
Write report/blogs regarding the great work done by the village organisation
Design a meaningful trip around this area for Shoshin Tribe
Enjoy the experience and learn as much as possible
HOW TO APPLY
If you have observed well, you'd understood by now, that social media marketing is one of the major requirement in this project along with content creation. So we want to know how skillful you are in these two major areas. The application process is going to check your skills in that area. Perform well to get selected for this cool internship in the mountains.
SOCIAL MEDIA SKILLS
We believe not in certificates, but on actual work. So we don't care if you do not have any supporting certificates on digital marketing or such. All you have to do is prove your worth using the materials that we give you here.
VIDEO CREATION SKILLS
With the help of well wishers, our village organisation have created some video content in the past. But to stay ahead and be relevant in the changing times, this organisation also needs to be found on the new age media to showcase the amazing work that they are doing.
That is where you come in and help these people with your skills. There are a few minimum expectations for the video content that you will make, which will be communicated to the selected interns. But there are no maximum limits. If you want to make a whole documentary out of it, please go ahead and do it. We will be more than happy to appreciate your work. Also, you will earn more karma points in life due to your work!

STEP 1.

Use your creativity and create a demo mini social media campaign for this Internship! Show us using your Instagram profile, how you will go about designing and marketing this event using the below given images.
Post the campaign you have designed using the above pictures on your Instagram story / feed / IGTV / reels and tag us. (If you have a private IG profile, share the screenshot of your post)
STEP 3.
Our social media team will evaluate it based on creativity, design and a few other parameters.
STEP 4.
Find and keep your previous work samples ready. It can be videos, blogs, photo essays, stories, whatever you think which might impress us.
STEP 5.
